The best games that truly pushed the envelope in terms of gameplay rarely left the arcade. One such case was Denjin Makai, a truly fantastic arcade game that never left Japan. Each level ends with a unique boss with multiple short and long range attacks. The Super Famicom port has the strange title of Ghost Chaser Densei. Enemies range from armored soldiers to lizard men to robots, but most break down into the same hierarchy: weaker types will rush at you while stronger types will shoot projectiles then rush at you. Denjin Makai was ported to the Super Famicom under the title Ghost Chaser Densei, where it kept only three of the arcade's six playable characters (Makai, Iyo and Belva), but added new story sequences that were not in the arcade game and added new moves to the remaining characters. Characters also have a team up special if playing in two player mode. Makai can throw fireballs and do a flying kick in midair, Iyo can triangle jump and preform a spinning piledriver, and Belva can double jump and preform a grapple special. It was later ported to the Super Famicom (known as the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in other countries) under the title Ghost Chaser Densei (). It was later ported to the Super Famicom under the title Ghost Chaser Densei. Unlike most brawlers these special moves deplete a recharging special bar, not your health. This is effectively a port of Denjin Makai, but with an entire stage, and 3 characters (Kurokishi, Zeldia, and Tarukusu) missing (though they show up as bosses, which shouldnt be surprising, as 2 of them had clones for bosses in the arcade game). Each has unique moves as well as the basic abilities of attacking, jumping, blocking, throwing, and using a special if attack and jump are pressed together. The Arcade version offers three additional characters: wrestler Tarukusu, beastman Zeldia and the purple haired Kurokishi and one extra stage called High way. There are three playable characters in the SNES version: the martial artist Makai, the mace wielding cat-girl Iyo, and the autonomous robot Belva. Aside from receiving orders from your boss before each level, and the quick conversation with a boss or rare NPC, the story won't attempt to get in the way of beat-downs. A city twenty minutes in the future must be saved from a terrorist organization, and between salvation and you is a long, straight line full of goons who must be punched. Thunder Hoop 2 works too slow and with a message on the screen that says COPROCESSOR BAD (I don't know if it works fine in this same version of MAME for PC).Ghost Chaser Densei or Denjinmakai doesn't take any dramatic departures from the standard scrolling-brawler plot-line. Panic Street doesn't load and makes it go back to the Homebrew Channel. Gals Panic 2, 4, S and S2 doesn't load. Dragon Ball Z 2 Super Battle doesn't load. SegaSonic loads okay, but when it goes to the tittle screen it doesn't appear in full screen correctly and when I press start it automatically returns to the Homebrew channel. Altered Beast doesn't run well, the enemies doesn't dissapear of the screen when destroyed and the automatic scroll moves too slow. Life turns bold and fills up to current life, special is earned for super desperation move. Mortal Kombat games works too much worse than in FBA in this case, too slow, MK2 without sound. GunForce II (US) Gunlock (Ver 2.3O 0) GunNail (28th May. Denjin Makai II (The Guardians) Arcade Coin-Op BANPRESTO 1995 SPECIAL build by attacking enemies. I tested some games and I noticed some problems in some games and maybe you can check them. Some games works much better than in FBA or MAME2000 cores.
